Wonderville installs two new cabinets at a launch party on Saturday, Oct. 24, the Brooklyn arcade bar announced. The first is The Indomitable Rocket Dog by Andy Wallace, a fast, physics-based platformer time trial about a dog that rocket-jumps through what its Steam page calls "a psychedelic club," with N++, Neon White, and Sonic the Hedgehog cited as reference points. A demo with the full level editor is playable on itch.io, and a Steam release is planned for 2026.
The party, billed as Dogs & Penguins, runs from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Wonderville, the Brooklyn bar and event space built around independently made arcade games. In the evening, the room turns over to SHELLRAISER, the October algorave from the live-coding collective livecode.nyc.
The second cabinet is Waddle Throttle by Jason Corace, a local-multiplayer mashup of figure skating and sumo wrestling in which penguins fight to be the last one standing. It began as a 2024 Wondercab residency cabinet at Wonderville, logged more than 1,800 plays at Super MAGFest 2025, and gets a home release on Steam and itch.io in 2026.
Wallace is a professor of game design at Long Island University whose work has shown at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, SFMoMA and the Museum of the Moving Image.
