Nullsleep Rebuilds nullsleep.com as a Life Archive
Jeremiah Johnson’s site counts the days around 300 dated sets and releases, from his 1980 birth to a projected death in 2057.
Nullsleep, the chiptune musician Jeremiah Johnson, has relaunched nullsleep.com as what he calls a "life archive": a single scrolling timeline of dated events, each paired with a running counter of days since or until it happens. Johnson announced the site in an Oct. 1 reel, writing that the concept "began gestating around 2015."

The timeline holds about 300 entries, roughly 280 of them live hardware sets. It runs from his birth in 1980 and the approximate founding of the 8bitpeoples label in 1999 through early sets in New York, including Blip at FUN in 2001, and on to this month's club nights in Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm and an Outtaspec! set at Brick Box in Tucson, Ariz. About 165 entries open into photo galleries. The last entry is his own death, listed for 2057 with the note "significant variance expected" and the location unknown.
The announcement promises "branching timelines ahead," and Johnson says more material will arrive as he recovers it from a stack of old hard drives dating to his teens. He is asking anyone holding photos, video, audio recordings or other relics from his shows to get in touch.
Johnson co-founded 8bitpeoples, the New York chipmusic label he still directs, and the label helped curate Blip Festival from 2006 to 2012. Killscreen covered his one-night revival of International Chiptune Resistance with Bit Shifter in Stockholm on Oct. 14, a show that now sits on the new timeline.
