International Chiptune Resistance 2026 is a one-night club set from Bit Shifter and Nullsleep, two founding figures of the American chipmusic scene, playing hard, raw-waveform dance music written and performed on Game Boy hardware: what the original tour billed as "high-volume, low-resolution beats."
The name is a revival. International Chiptune Resistance was the banner the pair toured under in 2006, a run that crossed Japan and North America, and the announcement sells this night as its 20-year return.

The show happens Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Momangen, a free-culture space on Kocksgatan in Stockholm, with doors at 7 p.m. Daniel M Karlsson plays support and Covox handles visuals. Registration is required, and the night is 18 and over.
Nullsleep is Jeremiah Johnson, who co-founded the 8bitpeoples label in 1999 and has directed it since. Bit Shifter is Joshua Davis, his longtime labelmate. Between them, they helped build the scene's institutions, including Blip Festival, the New York chipmusic festival that 8bitpeoples curated with The Tank from 2006 to 2012.
Killscreen tracks the club nights, gallery runs and one-off shows where game culture happens in person, the kind almost nobody else lists. The free KS Radar letter gets them to you while there is still time to go.
