TallBoys puts a Big Boy on stage
The Kafkaesque immersive sim Militsioner about escaping a town watched by a Colossal Policeman is playable at last
The policeman is the size of the weather. In Militsioner, every move you make in a small town is watched by a Colossal Policeman rising over the rooftops, and getting out means managing the giant's feelings: the game's own description invites you to anger, flatter, disappoint, deceive, or even romance the watcher. (Never date the Big Man.) After years in the announced-and-waited-for file, TallBoys has put a free demo on Steam, announced in a reel on Oct. 13.
From the Militsioner demo trailer, silent excerpt. The full trailer with sound is on Steam.
Surveillance here is not cameras and meters but a single enormous body with moods, a boss who is also the level: you learn to read the giant's face the way other games teach you to read a guard's vision cone.
The full game arrives in 2027 from Critical Reflex, the label behind Mouthwashing, whose showcase Killscreen previewed ahead of its Oct. 20 stream.
