The Cybersentics (little) Library opened Aug. 20, 2026, at Gray Area in San Francisco.

It is a small, growing collection on art, science, technology and society. The shelves hold books, magazines, kits, records and gadgets. Scholar and curator Anastasia Chernysheva hosts it.

The launch ran from 6 to 8 p.m. at 2665 Mission St. Visitors browsed the shelves, pitched items for the collection and swapped books or electronics worth up to $100.

The collection grew out of the Cybersentics Book Club, a monthly reading group on biofeedback, cyborg theory and the human sensorium.

The library is still open. It is free, and requests to visit, borrow or donate go through the library page.
