Horror keeps finding new ways to trap a body. For Cross-Conversations: Horror, Killscreen puts someone from horror film in conversation with people from horror games, and this session is about space and the body.
Sophie Winqvist shot Aniara, the Swedish film about a passenger ship knocked off course on its way to Mars. Max Friberg is creative director at Housefire, the Gothenburg studio behind Eclipsium, a game about body horror you do to yourself. Johanna Kasurinen co-founded Wrong Organ and leads its art and narrative; the studio made Mouthwashing, about the stranded crew of a failing ship and the guilt they carry. Together they'll talk about claustrophobia and guilt in deep space: how a camera and a game each make you feel there is nowhere left to go.
Tuesday, October 20, 10 to 11am PT (1pm ET, 6pm UK, 7pm CEST). Free and online, moderated by Jamin Warren, and recorded for replay. Register below and your join link will appear on this page.
