Maite Cajaraville and Gisle Frøysland of Piksel made it. The work turns the ruined Ajuda Bridge, on the border between Spain and Portugal, into a game.

Data centers, lithium mines and green hydrogen plants float above the bridge. Visitors buy or sell shares in them. Each decision adds or removes paving stones.

A [browser version](https://brostein.piksel.org/?ref=killscreen.com) is still online under the name *Brostein*. It tracks 10 measures as the bridge changes, from water consumption and air pollution to local employment and social conflict.

The artists presented the piece on its final day, according to [Piksel's announcement](https://www.instagram.com/p/DeOdOyOgQo2/?ref=killscreen.com). It was part of *Tras el telón de corcho*, a Plataforma MAL program curated by José Iglesias García-Arenal for Spain's 9th Culture and Ruralities Forum.
