Tidy plots, a farmhouse, an item shop, a watering routine. The crop is meat. *CORPSE FARM*, an unreleased “horror farming simulator” from solo developer [Berrysoft Games](https://www.instagram.com/berrysoft.games/?ref=killscreen.com), sits [on Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4985170/?ref=killscreen.com) as a wishlist page—“grow and harvest humanoid creatures to appease your god,” due Q3 2026—and [the announcement reel](https://www.instagram.com/p/DcopO1VOilY/?ref=killscreen.com) sparked some, um, interesting reactions.

That’s the finding: cozy is no longer a mood, it’s a grammar—codified enough that you can pour anything into it and the the container won't break When we called *Ooblets* [the cutest farming game we’d yet to play](https://www.killscreen.com/ooblets-still-cutest-farming-game-weve-yet-play/) back in 2016, cozy was still an emergent flavor. A decade later the conventions are legible enough to parody at a glance.
