*The Cat that Got the Milk*, a free to play indie game by The Button Experiment, looks like an abstract expressionist painting but gives it some action.

Every level looks and feels like a play through of a [Mondrian](http://www.guggenheim.org/new-york/collections/collection-online/show-full/piece/?search=Piet%20Mondrian&page=1&f=People&cr=7&ref=killscreen.com) or [Kandinsky](http://www.guggenheim.org/new-york/collections/collection-online/show-full/piece/?search=kandinsky&page=2&f=quicksearch&cr=10&ref=killscreen.com) painting. The 18 levels, movement (up and down), and 15 minutes on average to complete, are simple but rich.

The Cat that Got the Milk does what a painting cannot – it lets us play in abstraction, using art, music and level design as tools. The Button Experiment is a group to follow.
