Lots of museum news today, what with our very own[ Jamin Warren helping to decide what video games are worthy of de Kooning and Brancusi](http://killscreendaily.com/headlines/moma-acquires-14-games-permanent-collection-heres-how-kill-screen-helped/?ref=killscreen.com). The other story, which might get lost in the shuffle, is that a playable replica of *Spacewar!*, one of the very first videogames, [will be displayed at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens next month](http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/28/spacewar-to-invade-museum-of-the-moving-image/?ref=killscreen.com) as part of an exhibition celebrating the game’s 50th anniversary.

Steve Russell created Spacewar! after hours during his job as a computer scientist at MIT, and last month we saw him [in conversation with John Romero at IndieCade](http://killscreendaily.com/articles/scenes-indiecade-father-videogames-speaks/?ref=killscreen.com), where he was hilarious and captivating.

Games! Moving on up to the East Side! Or, er, in this case, to Astoria.
