*Scrapeboard* is a fighting game by Blake Andrews and Frank DeMarco, played with a real skateboard deck. Players slide the deck between metal pads on the floor, matching an onscreen opponent's footwork to block a sword before it falls. It began with an object: Tony Hawk sent an original deck to a Babycastles installation, and [the pair built a fighting game around it](https://www.affogata.com/blog/what-do-tony-hawk-and-an-indie-game-have-in-common-meet-scrapeboard/?ref=killscreen.com) instead of selling it.

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, the game returns to [Wonderville](https://www.killscreen.com/at-wonderville-nine-games-replaced-the-gamepad-entirely/), the Bushwick arcade bar, for a night of rhythm and dance games, per [the bar's announcement](https://www.instagram.com/p/DeC2AxcFTyj/?ref=killscreen.com). Play opens at 7 p.m., and Andrews and DeMarco run a *Scrapeboard* tournament at 9\. Every arcade game on the floor is free to play.

Two rhythm games share the night: *Young Cathedral* by [Common Opera](https://www.instagram.com/commonopera/?ref=killscreen.com) and *Sound of Smog: Neo Delhi* by [Pariah Interactive](https://www.instagram.com/pariahinteractive/?ref=killscreen.com). Wonderville's own [*Step Right Up!*](https://www.killscreen.com/wondervilles-new-cabinet-step-right-up-crosses-a-zoltar-machine-with-vector-graphics/), an animatronic Zoltar machine rebuilt with vector graphics, sits in the room year round.

Killscreen finds the rooms where games become sport, sculpture and furniture, from Bushwick bars to museum floors. The free KS Radar newsletter delivers three finds like this every week.
