According to its [Steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4438850/Dreams%5Fon%5Fa%5FPillow/?ref=killscreen.com), *Dreams on a Pillow* is a "pseudo-stealth, puzzle adventure game" inspired by a Palestinian folk tale. The player is Khadra, a young woman from Al Tantura who flees a massacre carrying only a pillow, on a route from Palestine to southern Lebanon. Holding the pillow slows Khadra down and restricts movement. Setting it aside opens a way past barriers but brings on nightmares and hallucinations. Between those sequences, the game returns to village life before 1948, with tasks such as making hummus and fetching water from a well.

Abueideh's earlier game, *Liyla and the Shadows of War*, is set in Gaza during the 2014 war. In 2016, Apple initially kept it out of the App Store's Games category and suggested News or Reference instead, as Killscreen reported at the time. Steam lists Abueideh as developer and publisher of *Dreams on a Pillow* and gives no release date.
