What is striking here isn’t that a Chinese company has decided create their own game, without consent,[ based on the popular *Plants Vs. Zombies*](http://arcadeheroes.com/2011/03/28/also-seen-in-china-plants-vs-zombies-completely-unofficial-arcade-edition/?ref=killscreen.com). What *is* amazing is that said infringe-o-rama was actually [displayed at trade show](http://arcadeheroes.com/2011/03/26/street-fighter-iv-3d-arcade-version-plus-many-more-games-from-china/?ref=killscreen.com) as if it were something, you know, Shunxiang Technology came up with on the side.

The folks at Arcade Heroes, of course, called PopCap, the maker of *PvZ,* who had this to say:

> As suspected, the Plants vs. Zombies arcade cabinet shown in the pictures is completely unauthorized by PopCap.

Well put.
