[Dead Internet Theory](https://www.killscreen.com/paizley-lee-filled-dead-internet-theorys-second-la-night-with-a-rainbow-of-imac-g3s/), the touring LAN party built by game designer and vintage-computer rescuer Paizley Lee, comes to the [Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment](https://themade.org/?ref=killscreen.com) in Oakland on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8 p.m. to midnight. Lee began the project with a cross-country trip to rescue a fleet of colored iMac G3s, then restored the machines and networked them into a playable world modeled on the early internet, seeded with strange games and hidden mysteries. The Oakland edition was [announced this week](https://www.instagram.com/p/Dehqxt9BoIn/?ref=killscreen.com).

The MADE describes itself as Oakland's all-playable videogame museum, a Washington Street space where visitors play thousands of games on original hardware. For this night, the organizers promise a playground for old machines, strange games, interactive installations and, in their words, "the people making weird things with technology today."

Games and installations come from John Threat and Dan Ruth alongside Lee's own, with more contributors to be announced. Admission is pay what you can, with a suggested $10 donation; proceeds go to the visiting artists and crew.

Dead Internet Theory has already run two Los Angeles editions, and the Los Angeles Times profiled the project in September. Lee makes games and throws parties under the name [kidgrandma](https://www.instagram.com/kidgrandma/?ref=killscreen.com).
