# New Facebook app lets you choose your last words.

Last year’s *Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery EP* allowed players to send realtime tweets about their character. A [new and suspiciously fatalistic](http://mashable.com/2012/01/06/if-i-die-facebook-app/?ref=killscreen.com) Facebook app titled “If I Die” suggests Facebook app developers are thinking alike:

When your trustees confirm your death, your messages can be published all at once to your Facebook wall or released on a designated schedule.

When Facebook’s new Timeline was unveiled late last year, critics decried the fact that it either became more difficult to [“shed past identities,”](http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/16/technology/facebook-brings-back-the-past-with-new-design.html?pagewanted=all&ref=killscreen.com) or easier for [creative curating](http://www.slate.com/articles/technology/technology/2011/12/facebook%5Ftimeline%5Fthe%5Fsocial%5Fnetwork%5Fs%5Fnew%5Fprofile%5Fdesign%5Fmakes%5Fit%5Feasy%5Fto%5Fdelete%5Fyour%5Fpast%5F.html?ref=killscreen.com) of one’s personal history. Either way, your virtual self ain’t going nowhere. So maybe we should all start thinking like the *Superbrothers* heroes (or, let’s be fair, [Rick Ross](http://killscreendaily.com/articles/year-lyrics?ref=killscreen.com)) and pondering our last wishes.
