The good people who attended last May’s [Arcade Boat ](http://www.copenhagengamecollective.org/2011/04/29/arcade-boat-2011/?ref=killscreen.com)got to experience a different kind of *Twister*.

Constructed by Douglas Wilson and indie game designer [Nicklas “Nifflas” Nygren](http://nifflas.ni2.se/?ref=killscreen.com), the strikingly familiar game seen above is *Mega GIRP*, a real-life take on Bennett Foddy’s [addictive, phalanx-bone-murdering Flash title](http://www.foddy.net/GIRP.html?ref=killscreen.com).

Riffing on the common assessment that *GIRP* is like “*Twister* for your fingers”, Wilson imagined extending the simile to the player’s entire body. So wait…that’s pretty much just *Twister,* right? Wrong.

In fact, the 4 dance pads used to play the game are not only mapped to all 26 letters (and one menacingly placed “Flex” button), but awkwardly control the game as it is projected on a screen before the player.

Neck stiffness and back pain may ensue. But you have to admit, this is pretty damn cool.
