*Disappear Here* (2026) is a four-screen audiovisual installation by [Eva Papamargariti](https://dallasaurora.com/Eva-Papamargariti?ref=killscreen.com) about what becomes of the campfire story once the fire is swapped for the feed. Across the screens, an uncanny parade of creatures moves through myths, conspiracies and fragile kinships, generated from avatars, memes and AI prompts. Once a day a lone performer, dressed to resemble them, steps out of the dark and approaches each screen in turn, copying the creatures' gestures by trial and error. In the work's own description, connection is "never quite achieved, but endlessly, faithfully attempted."

The piece is an Onassis ONX co-production with AURORA Dallas, developed through Onassis AiR, and it [performs at Dallas Contemporary](https://www.instagram.com/p/DfVJc6DlmBv/?ref=killscreen.com) over the last three days of the seventh AURORA Biennial, States of Becoming. Efthimios Moschopoulos handles movement direction and performance, and Soraya Oronti designed the costumes.

Papamargariti is based between Athens and London and works across CG animation, AR, 3D scanning, textiles and sound, with past shows at the New Museum, the Whitney, Tate Britain and Transmediale. An hour before the first performance, Papamargariti talks with biennial curator Julia Kaganskiy at Dallas Contemporary. Onassis ONX also lists the artist Zach Blas on that panel.

The biennial closes the same weekend with a free outdoor exhibition across downtown Dallas, where [Theo Triantafyllidis](https://www.killscreen.com/tag/theo-triantafyllidis/)'s *Drift Lattice*, an ocean simulation steered by climate data, screens on the facade of City Hall.
