*CultureHouse*, an adventure game in development by the independent studio futurala, is playable for free at 404 Not Found, a creator space in Shibuya Sakura Stage. The player spends seven days in the home-turned-lab of a scientist missing for seven years, cultivating organisms called Geneo. [The Steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2314460/CultureHouse/?ref=killscreen.com) says finishing the experiment surfaces the truth about the scientist's family and a world in slow decline. ars●bit cites modernist architecture and surrealism as influences; the screenshots show white concrete villas, glass stairwells and petri dishes. futurala handles the scenario, programming, graphics and music.

The Shibuya Asobi-ba Production Committee and 404 Not Found organize the display with support from the Japan Creator Fund, and [ars●bit's announcement](https://www.instagram.com/p/DejYFS7iJkB/?ref=killscreen.com) lists free admission. Both games in it also appear in Anima Ludens, ars●bit's exhibition in Arles, through Nov. 8\.

futurala began in September 2022, founded by a former 3D artist and scenario writer, according to [the studio's site](https://futurala.com/?ref=killscreen.com). ars●bit launched in March 2025, growing out of art bit, an exhibition of art and independent games at Hotel Anteroom Kyoto. hako life solo-developed *UNREAL LIFE*, a Japan Media Arts Festival award winner.
