The V&A and arebyte are hosting [*Digital Meetup: Systems at Play*](https://www.vam.ac.uk/event/lgoA8EBgJE/digital-meetup-october-2026?ref=killscreen.com), a free, drop-in creative coding night open to everyone. It runs 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, in the Learning Centre at V&A South Kensington, as part of the V&A Digital Art Season: On Agency, per [arebyte's announcement](https://www.instagram.com/p/DeMsTVeClhz/?ref=killscreen.com).

Artists from arebyte's Hotel Generation program lead the night. Ambie Drew works on how digital images rewrite memory, and Freddie Sanders maps landscapes from satellite data. Both ask attendees to bring a laptop, and the museum has a few to lend. Olivia Ema installs an interactive piece, Emir Johnston pairs intelligent machines with moving ones to make physical images, and Maria Than's new installation lets you paint digital mandalas with your voice. A Processing Community Day show and tell is open to anyone with a sketch to share.

arebyte opened in 2013 in Hackney Wick under founder Nimrod Vardi and moved to London City Island in 2017, according to Studio International. Hotel Generation is its annual mentoring program for young digital artists, and a panel picks one participant for a solo exhibition at arebyte. The On Agency season runs to Dec. 3 and includes *Degrees of Disruption: Vera Molnar and Generative Art*, opening Oct. 16.
