# Dice Have No Eyes turns push-your-luck into a fever dream

Two of the four people who made *Arco* have a new game, and it is nothing like *Arco*. [*Dice Have No Eyes*](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4535880/Dice%5FHave%5FNo%5FEyes/?ref=killscreen.com), from pixel artist Franek Nowotniak and programmer Max Cahill, hit Steam this year: a push-your-luck roguelike the two bill as a surreal fever dream about greed management. You clear a level, you upgrade your dice, you feed them dumplings, and at every moment the game offers one more roll, which is *exactly* one roll more than you should take. Where *Arco* was patient and mournful about consequence, this one makes consequence a slot machine.

Let's talk dice. No pips to read, no faces to count—just the raw act of wanting more, drawn in Franek's thick pixel line and set in gambling-parlor psychedelia, with something called King Fetus waiting for the truly lucky.
