Here’s the OMG news of the day (okay, of yesterday): Supergiant Games, a.k.a. those guys who made the indie sensation *Bastion*, are making [a cyberpunk game](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTik6sYT%5FBE&ref=killscreen.com)!!! To be narrated by a grimy body parts smuggler? Maybe.

A couple of blokes at Boing Boing explore [the strange probability of Grime dice](http://boingboing.net/2013/03/15/weird-probabilities-of-non-tra.html?ref=killscreen.com). Very nerdy, and cool.

Because digital rights management is a pain in the derrière, ECAL students created [the DRM Chair](http://www.creativeapplications.net/objects/drm-chair-chair-that-self-destructs-after-8-uses/?ref=killscreen.com). It breaks after you sit in it eight times.

Writing for Harper’s, Tom Bissell reviews *YOU*. No, not you personally, but [a novel about a fictional videogame company](http://harpers.org/archive/2013/04/new-books-45/%20?ref=killscreen.com).

Tom gets around. Elsewhere, [he interviews on penning the new *Gears of War*](http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/books/2013/03/gears-of-war-writer-tom-bissell-on-video-games-and-storytelling.html?ref=killscreen.com#entry-more). It’s a fascinating read, touching on videogame storytelling, Nabokov, Infocom, and the N.R.A.

Also interviewed, Tale of Tales, concerning the Fracophile *Bientot l’ete*. I enjoyed the tidbit about how [the husband and wife team enjoy playing chess and *Tekken* not because of the strategy involved, but because it turns them on](http://gamasutra.com/view/news/188255/Road%5Fto%5Fthe%5FIGF%5FTale%5Fof%5FTales%5FBientot%5Flete.php?ref=killscreen.com).

[Nutrition for kids has been gamified](http://www.good.is/posts/superchef-and-supershopper-interactive-games-to-help-kids-eat-healthy-food/?ref=killscreen.com) by the always-thoughtful Dutch. Make a Paleo expansion, and I’m in.

A feral group of ex-Rare developers has started making iPhone games. And [one of the members is a terrifying disembodied computer head!](http://www.edge-online.com/features/rare-veterans-flippin-pixels-in-the-console-market-you-just-cannot-take-risks/?ref=killscreen.com)

Mike Rose at Gamasutra investigates something I’ve always wondered myself: [Where the heck do all those realistic truck driving sims come from?](http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/188054/Whos%5Fbuying%5Fall%5Fthese%5Fniche%5Fsimulation%5Fgames%5Fanyway%5FWe%5Ffound%5Fout.php?ref=killscreen.com)

And because the general public can’t get enough of horses in neckwear, check out [Simogo’s creepy yet totally charming concept art for *Year Walk*.](http://simogo.com/blog/2013/03/15/year-walk-the-early-days/?ref=killscreen.com)

*’Til next time.*
