*Back from the long weekend, here’s today’s big news.*

– A recently published patent has revealed that Sony may working on [their own version of the Kinect](http://kotaku.com/5886768/sony-working-on-its-own-kinect/gallery/1?ref=killscreen.com).

– French games site *Gameblog* noticed that Activision let slip that this year’s *Call of Duty* would be *Black Ops 2*. [They were not happy about it](http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/115902-UPDATE-Activision-Allegedly-Livid-About-Black-Ops-2-Reveal?ref=killscreen.com).

– Tim Schafer’s Double Fine kickstarter is up to [2 million dollars](http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/115916-Double-Fine-Adventure-Kickstarter-Breaks-2-Million?ref=killscreen.com). That’s 5 times the original goal. The proposal’s success has inspired some other developers too.

– BioWare has released [the extended cut](http://kotaku.com/5886922/mass-effect-3-take-back-the-earth-trailer-extended-cut-doubles-the-excitement?ref=killscreen.com) of the *Mass Effect 3* trailer.

– Military shooter *Spec Ops: The Line* [will be out](http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/02/21/get-some-spec-ops-the-line-in-june/%20%20?ref=killscreen.com) in June.
