Bill Gates is looking at games as a way to increase the effectiveness of education. There have been several notable game x education projects such as Quest 2 Learn, who was profiled in the NY Times Magazine [last year](http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/19/magazine/19video-t.html?ref=magazine). > $2.6 million for iRemix, which is being developed by Digital Youth Network. It will be a set of 20 literacy-based trajectories that allow students to earn badges and move from novice to expert in areas like creative writing
