*Dimensional Connections*, the 2001 computer-animated feature by Brazilian painter and musician [Beny Tchaicovsky](https://benytchaicovsky.website/?ref=killscreen.com), is now streaming on [Eternal Family](https://eternal.tv/?ref=killscreen.com), the subscription service for rare and forgotten films, in partnership with ArtnetworkTV. The 53-minute film is the third part of Tchaicovsky's *Morning Star Trilogy*, and [a new excerpt](https://www.instagram.com/p/DfArGuWDTkg/?ref=killscreen.com) shows lobby interiors lit by green EXIT signs, a giant clock face, stone heads and feathered masks, all rendered in the hard-edged 3D of the period.

An excerpt from **Dimensional Connections* (2001). Video: [Eternal Family](https://www.instagram.com/p/DfArGuWDTkg/?ref=killscreen.com)

Tchaicovsky (1954 to 2009) was born in Rio de Janeiro and spent two decades painting and playing music in Germany and Spain before moving to Marin County, California, in 1990 and teaching himself 3D software. In 1993 the artist set up Zoe Productions, a computer animation company run out of a studio in Fairfax. Segments of Tchaicovsky's shorts appeared in the *Mind's Eye* compilation videos in the mid-1990s, and the first feature, *Cyberscape: A Computer Animation Vision*, was distributed by Sony Music Video in 1997.

The *Morning Star Trilogy* followed in 2001 as three independent releases: *The Call*, *Caught Between Worlds* and *Dimensional Connections*. Tchaicovsky wrote, directed, animated and scored all three. The official Tchaicovsky site describes the final film as the trilogy's resolution, set in "a reality where everything is linked," and coins the term "Esoteric Realism," a label Tchaicovsky used only when pressed for one. The film can also be rented on [Vimeo On Demand](https://vimeo.com/ondemand/dimensionalconnections?ref=killscreen.com).
