- Description: The collective that made Aggro Dr1ft is selling Remedy's paranormal Manhattan.

*CONTROL Resonant*, Remedy Entertainment's return to the Oldest House universe, shipped September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. So it was nice to see some ostensibly "BTS" footage from [EDGLRD posted the same day](https://www.instagram.com/p/DdrtEDoFUWj/?ref=killscreen.com). In it, we see a sequence of smuggled footage from the world of *CONTROL*: a cardboard box multiplying in mass, a figure huddled in a corner at New York City N/R/W line, and bodies floating ominously over the skyline. The advertising for one of the fall's biggest games came out of Harmony Korine's Miami collective.

EDGLRD is the studio Korine built after deciding cinema's future looked more like games than like film: *Aggro Dr1ft* was shot in infrared and finished by game-engine artists, and *Baby Invasion* ran on livestream and shooter grammar. The studio describes itself as a design collective working across film, fashion, and games. So when Remedy, whose communications director Thomas Puha has said this is [the studio's biggest marketing campaign ever](https://wccftech.com/control-resonant-marketing-campaign-september-release/?ref=killscreen.com), needed images that could cut through a September crowded with horror sequels, it went to a filmmaker's shop that already thinks in engine terms.

Remedy is the rare larger studio worth my attention, ever since we asked [what Cormac McCarthy and *Alan Wake* have in common](https://www.killscreen.com/what-do-cormac-mccarthy-and-alan-wake-have-in-common-asi/).
