How’s this for a challenge: design a house that doubles as a skate-park. It may sound unreasonable, but architect Francois Perrin [was willing to tackle that challenge head on](http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/21/garden/designing-a-house-in-which-every-surface-is-skateable-qa.html?%5Fr=2&ref=killscreen.com). In the process, he learned a little something about how skating can teach us about architecture:

> Skating has a strong relation with architecture. They adapt themselves to public space and outdoor furniture. A skater, when he goes around the city trying to find the right space and surface, he really looks at architecture with a different eye than someone that’s walking around. It’s a more fluid approach. So this idea of people skating in a house has been the dream of many generations of skaters.

The house is currently a part of the “[Public Display](http://www.gaite-lyrique.net/programmation/theme/public-domaine?ref=killscreen.com)” exhibition at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, and will be available for viewing until August 7th.
